The Thursday night tasting at Fine Wines of Stockton featured Bokisch Vineyards of Lodi. Liz and Marcus Bokisch poured their wines and gave us all kinds of information about their winery, their growing practices and about the origin of their vines.
Pete and I had a great introduction to the wines the Languedoc region of France during the Wine Bloggers Conference in August. This made us curious about the region, its climate and food as well. We decided to build a wine and food tasting from this experience.
So, in our quest for the next Bordeaux to place in the cellar, we tasted a 2009 Chateau Bernadotte, a Cru Bourgeois from Haut-Medoc, over this past weekend.
We had the opportunity to taste 6 Italian red wines, 4 of which were Tuscan and 2 were from other Italian regions. This got me curious about Tuscan wines, Tuscan food and where is Tuscany any way?

We awoke Monday, October 1 to a stunning view of Fishtail Mountain from our hotel room in Pokhara. We had not seen the mountain during the previous two days as it has been covered by clouds.
We finally have some good Wi-Fi and can do some updates. I’ll start of from where I last left off even though it is many days later and we are in Delhi, India on our way home.
