Wine tasting notes from trips we have taken.
The second winery visit we made as part of a Pre-Conference Excursion to the Wine Bloggers’ Conference 2013 in Penticton, British Columbia (WBC13) took us to Tantalus Vineyards, yet another beautiful and unique winery located along the Lakeshore Wine Route in southeast Kelowna.
We recently visited Summerhill Pyramid Winery as part of a Pre-Conference Excursion to the Wine Bloggers’ Conference 2013 in Penticton, British Columbia. The excursion was planned for us by Tourism Kelowna and included a tour and dinner at the winery.
A couple of weeks ago Nancy and I went up Highway 4 to Bear Valley, Ca. to do some cross country skiing. We go several times each year and usually go straight up and back. This time, though, our trip took a twisted turn.
On a recent weekday I spent a day wine tasting in Napa Valley with a group of friends. The weather was warm for December, in the mid 60s, and mostly overcast. The drive from Stockton to Napa takes us through the San Francisco Bay Delta.

We awoke Monday, October 1 to a stunning view of Fishtail Mountain from our hotel room in Pokhara. We had not seen the mountain during the previous two days as it has been covered by clouds.
We finally have some good Wi-Fi and can do some updates. I’ll start of from where I last left off even though it is many days later and we are in Delhi, India on our way home.
We have been on the go so much we weren\’t able to post anything while we still had Internet access. Our first few days in Nepal.
We are having breakfast in Delhi after what seems like two days of flying.
We are headed for Nepal to trek around for a couple of weeks and are going to try to find out what we can about local wineries there.
