This wine is the fourth release of Dave Phinney’s E wine produced and bottled by Locations Wine. It is a blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo, Monastrell and Cariñena. The grapes were sourced from Priorat, Jumilla, Toro, Rioja and Ribera del Duero. It is a delicious survey of Spanish varieties and wine regions. The fruit flavors of Garnacha are well represented in this wine and blend nicely with Tempranillo’s lovely tannins. This delightful blend will appeal to a wide variety of wine drinkers.
This wine was the perfect pairing for lamb chops seasoned with cumin, coriander, sage and fennel served alongside a medley of peas, oven roasted tomatoes, garlic and shallots. The flavors of the wine came through unchanged and did not overwhelm the flavors of the lamb. Just delicious.
