As promised, and ahead of Earth Day next week, we are sharing three of Domaine Bousquet’s current releases Gaia wines. These wines in particular represent Domaine Bousquet’s continuing commitment to earth-friendly farming and winemaking practices. We received these wines as tasting samples.
You may recall from our prior post that the list of earth-friendly certifications earned by Domaine Bousquet is as long as my arm. Since its establishment in 1997, the winery has continued to build on its organic farming practices with numerous certifications. The certified part of their accomplishments is essential. Certification requires a commitment to practices that are both documented and verified — not just talked about. Certification takes extra time and work, which is costly.

The Gaia range of wines are estate grown and bottled. And, as with all Domaine Bousquet wines, they are certified organic. In addition, with the 2022 vintage the wines are certified biodynamic by Demeter. In addition, Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC)™ certification was achieved in 2024. So, whether it’s Earth Month, Earth Day or any day, Domaine Bousquet wines and the Gaia range are an earth-friendly choice.

2024 Domaine Bousquet Gaia Pinot Noir Rosé, Gualtallary, Mendoza, Argentina — brilliant pale salmon with aromas of raspberries and blackberries. Flavors are a combination of blackberries and raspberries with citrusy acidity in a medium body. ABV 12%. SRP $20

2022 Domaine Bousquet Gaia Cabernet Sauvignon, Gualtallary, Mendoza, Argentina — dark ruby with aromas of blackberries, blueberries and boysenberries. Flavors include ripe blackberries, boysenberries and earth with drying tannins in a medium body. ABV 14.5%. SRP $25

2022 Domaine Bousquet Gaia Malbec, Gualtallary, Mendoza, Argentina — dark ruby with red fruit aromas of raspberries, red plums and currants. Flavors reflect mixed red fruit with a bit of earth in a medium body with drying tannins. ABV 14.5%. SRP $25
So there you have it. These three wines are balanced, delicious and very reasonably priced. I am partial to the Gaia range because I love the colorful labels so much, but wine is more than just a pretty label. What’s inside the bottle must be as exciting as the label, and that is certainly the case with Domaine Bousquet’s Gaia wines. Why not toast Mother Earth on Earth Day with a glass of Gaia, the Earth Goddess?
Thanks to Creative Palate Communications for organizing our tasting.
Cheers!
