2007 Cristom Vineyards Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard

Cristom Jessie Vineyard2007 Cristom Vineyards Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard (13.5% abv) – Cristom Vineyards is in the Eola-Amity Hills appellation in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. They are located west of Salem a few miles. We have visited their winery and really like their wines as they are more Burgundian than many of the other Oregon Pinot Noir. The 2007 vintage was a tough one and many winemakers weren’t able to make their best wine but Cristom Vineyards did a great job.

The wine was a light garnet and had a forward earthy, red fruit nose. The flavors were complex with earth, fruit, brambles and a little smokiness, maybe even a little rubber tire. Good acid and a long flavorful finish rounded out the wine.
