2009 Provenance Sauvignon Blanc – This wine has a very light yellow color. Nose is very obvious, citrus and melon. Flavors of citrus, melon and floral back-notes. A good amount of acid gives this wine a clean finish of moderate length. None of the grassy flavors I find objectionable in some Sauvignon Blanc. There is a slight bitterness on the finish that tastes of orange peel. Just as pleasant as the 2008. Pete likes it almost as much as the 2008 which is his favorite white wine.
We enjoy wine, food and travel. Pull That Cork is a chronicle of our wine adventures, the food and wine pairings we create and our travels which are increasingly organized around wine.
