The 2007 Sterling Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon has a violet-ruby color with a restrained nose. In the mouth you get a burst of cedar and then complex fruit plus some vegetal flavors. The tannins are chalky and there is plenty of acid. This real good now and is going to be really great in a few more years.
We enjoy wine, food and travel. Pull That Cork is a chronicle of our wine adventures, the food and wine pairings we create and our travels which are increasingly organized around wine.
Yep, I have a few bottles in the cellar. I got lucky and was able to get 50% off on them.
The Diamond Mountain district seems to produce good young wines now and definitely cellar quite well. Hope you kept a few bottles:)
