The 2007 Stacked Stone Cellars Quarry Reserve from Paso Robles is 55% Petit Verdot, 20% Merlot, 12.5% Cabernet Franc and 12.5% Cabernet Sauvignon. This made an outstanding complex wine that was very easy drinking. The color was a light garnet and there were notes of deep red roses and dark fruit in the nose. The flavors were red fruit, raspberries and cherries with a little smoke. A very well balanced wine with smooth tannins. I highly recommend this wine.
We enjoy wine, food and travel. Pull That Cork is a chronicle of our wine adventures, the food and wine pairings we create and our travels which are increasingly organized around wine.
Yeah, that blend sounds very inviting. That’s one I’d like to try.
I think you would enjoy it. It was a really nice wine. They have another, can’t recall the name right now that I want to try next.
Indeed, this wine is delicious!
