This Pasos Vineyards Grenache blend from the Bartholomew Vineyard has a light ruby color. The nose has a scent of a deep red rose and strawberries. The body is light with flavors of smoke and red fruit and a fair amount of oak. There are light tannins and I think there isn’t quite enough acid and it seems slightly out of balance. The finish is fairly long with the flavor of the fruit. The alcohol content is particularly low for this area at 13.6%.
We enjoy wine, food and travel. Pull That Cork is a chronicle of our wine adventures, the food and wine pairings we create and our travels which are increasingly organized around wine.
