2008 Beaulieu Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon – Dark ruby in color with a somewhat restrained nose of dark fruit with a little vanilla. There is a round creamy mouthfeel with dark fruit and vanilla. The tannins were smooth but this wine may have had a little less acid than it should have. The wine was not overly complex but was very pleasant to drink.
The wine is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Syrah and 4% other Bordeaux varietals from multiple vineyards.
