The 2007 Sterling Vineyards SVR Reserve is labeled as a “Red Wine” as it is a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc. The color is a dark ruby red and the nose is big with dark fruit and anise. There is a lot of dark fruit complemented with some vanilla in the flavor. The tannins are moderate and the finish is long. An excellent wine that I recommend highly.
It paired well with our charcoal grilled grass fed steaks and orzo salad.
