2004 Chateau Reignac – This right bank Bordeaux is 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. The color is a dark ruby tending toward garnet. The nose has dark fruit, blueberry, leather, tobacco and rubber tire notes. There are very drying tannins and plenty of acid to go along with them. A lot of flavor with fruit, leather and graphite and a long finish of flavor and tannin. For $11.99 at K&L Wines it was a pretty good buy if you aren’t afraid of tannin.
