Getting to Know Ca’ di Prata Prosecco

Today we’re tasting three variations of Prosecco from Ca’ di Prata. Included in the group is a Brut Prosecco DOC, Extra Dry Prosecco Rose DOC and Extra Dry Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG. Roxanich Ines U Bijelom Cuvée 2010

I experienced a crazy TV moment last week while watching the new season of the Netflix original series, Dead to Me. In the first episode of the second season orange wine is prominently mentioned. Granted, neither of the characters discussing orange wine knew what it was, but it got a mention. I guess that means at least scriptwriters have been […]

Just Say Prosecco Please

I never need a reason (excuse) to enjoy a glass of bubbles. We often have a bottle open in our house, but I do admit to enjoying sparkling wine a little more often as the holidays approach. Giving Thanks and Sharing the Wine

Like a good many people, Peter and I have much to be thankful for. And like most, we feel grateful for our good fortune on a regular basis. As I age I find myself feeling thankful for all kinds of things I didn’t think twice about when I was younger. I no longer take for granted the importance of family, […]

Cinzano Prosecco and Asti

Mixing Cocktails with Cinzano Prosecco DOC and Asti DOCG

I rarely use sparking wine as a mixer to make cocktails. Generally, I simply enjoy a glass of sparkling wine with appetizers or a meal. To be honest, it just doesn’t occur to me to use sparkling wine to make a cocktail. So, a recent invitation to sample Cinzano Prosecco DOC and Cinzano Asti DOCG along with a cocktail kit caused me to pause for a minute and consider the potential. Maybe I should explore the possibility. I replied yes to the offer of tasting samples and before I knew it I was playing mixologist.
