2010 “The Whip” by Murrieta’s Well

The 2010 Murrieta’s Well “The Whip” is a blend of 31% Sauvignon Blanc, 27% Viognier, 15% Semillon, 11% Pinot Blanc, 8% Orange Muscat and 8% Muscat Canelli. Quite a blend but they did an excellent job. You get the burnt orange nose of the Muscat without the sweetness in the mouth. The flavor is complex, oranges, a hint of grassiness, spicy oak and a hint of floral. Great acidity and a moderate length finish. At $20 I highly recommend you try this wine.

  1. This wine sounds wonderful! Do you know where I could find it?

In addition to the winery, BevMo carries it if there is one near you. There are also some stores in New York that carry it.
